FilmFlight Aerials is an expert drone team based in the New York area.
COVID-19: We are working safely during the Covid19 pandemic, following health precautions to prevent the spread of the virus. We hope you are staying safe and healthy as well. Since we mostly work outdoors, it is quite possible for us to work safely with proper distancing protocol. We're ready when you are, and we will always prioritize safety, whether it's safe aerial operations, or Covid19.
With drone technology we can make cinematic shots which were impossible only a few years ago.
The Film Flight Aerials drone team will manage and conduct your entire aerial cinematography or photo operation safely, legally, and get the shots you need.
We go beyond flying a remote aircraft with a camera- unlike many operators, our drone work focuses on cinematic storytelling with the aerial camera. We are very experienced cinematographers and filmmakers, we have decades of experience on film sets. We know how to communicate with your directors and DPs, we'll help you get the footage you need for your film.

In spring of 2019 we captured aerials for a concert event in Aspen, CO, and several documentary films in the New York region. In fall 2019, we conducted drone operations for the Netflix feature Things Heard and Seen premiering on April 29, 2021; this was a challenging assignment, flying over the Hudson River and Long Island Sound; on day 2 we coordinated with the special effects department and flew over artificial wind and rain. In February 2020, we conducted a night operation for an A&E non-fiction show. In March, 2021, we filmed aerials for a documentary about the Three Mile Island nuclear power station accident. We are a Netflix approved drone vendor and aerial team.
Our decades of filmmaking experience make us ideal partners to enhance your production. Excellent preparation is what sets us apart: we will attend pre-production meetings, advise you about the operation, and obtain necessary FAA Flight Authorizations. We can work on-set with your director and DP, or as an independent aerial unit. As veteran cinematographers, we are great collaborators to help producers create their stories.
